OFFICIAL RULES

1. CONTEST DURATION

The "Envole-toi avec le Défi " contest (the "Contest") organized by the Fondation Jean Lapointe, ("Organizer") begins on December 19, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. (Eastern Daylight Time) and ends on January 2, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Daylight Time).

2. CONTEST PRIZE

The "Register before January 3" contest (the "Contest") offers two (2) round-trip economy-class airline tickets, taxes included, from Montreal to any destination served by Air Transat. Please note that this prize is neither redeemable for cash nor transferable and is valid until January 31, 2025, subject to flight availability (return flight on or before this date). Certain embargo periods must be respected. Upgrades to Option Plus or Club Class will be possible subject to availability and a small supplement to be paid at the time of booking.

3. ELIGIBILITY

The contest is open to any person who, at the time of registration with a minimum donation of $28 to the 28-Day Challenge via the www.defi28jours.com platform (the "contest website"), is of the age of majority or older in his or her province or country, with the exception of employees of the organizer, the Jean Lapointe Foundation and their affiliated companies, advertising and promotional agencies associated with this contest, their suppliers and, respectively, any person with whom such employee, agent or representative is domiciled or any member of his or her "immediate family". For the purposes of these rules, "immediate family" includes father, mother, brother(s), sister(s), child(ren), husband and wife or common-law spouse of such employee, agent or representative.

4. HOW TO ENTER

To enter, participants must visit www.defi28jours.com (the "Contest Website"), complete the entry form, make a minimum donation of $28 to the Fondation Jean Lapointe and validate it as indicated. All data entry fields on the entry form must be completed, unless indicated as optional. A contest entrant may submit only one (1) entry form during the contest period. A contest entrant may use only one (1) email address (which must be a valid email address) to register on the contest website. Only one (1) entrant per entry form. No more than one (1) entrant may use the same e-mail address. The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any person who violates or attempts to violate these contest rules.

5. ANNOUNCEMENT OF WINNER

The winner of the contest will be determined on January 3, 2024, at the offices of La Fondation Jean Lapointe at 105, rue Normand, Montréal QC H2Y 2K6. One (1) entry will be selected from all eligible entries received. The selected entrant will be notified by telephone and e-mail. To be declared a winner, the selected entrant must correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, including mechanical assistance, the mathematical skill-testing question posed by e-mail. Should the entrant fail to respond to the e-mail from the Organizer's representative within four (4) business days of the draw, the entrant will be disqualified and another entrant will be selected from among all remaining valid entry forms. In the event that the Organizer's representative is unable to notify an entrant within a reasonable time, or if an entrant fails to respond to the Organizer's representative's e-mail within four (4) business days, that entrant will be disqualified and the Organizer will have the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel the awarding of the prize.

6. PERSONAL INFORMATION

By entering this contest, entrants consent to the collection, use and disclosure of their personal information by the Organizer or its authorized agents for the purpose of administering this contest and awarding prizes. By accepting a prize, all winners consent to the use of their name, address (city, province), voice, statements, image, photographs or other representations and recordings for publicity purposes in all media and formats, including but not limited to the Internet, without further notice or compensation, and all winners may be required to sign a document to this effect.

7. ERRORS

Entry forms containing or showing errors will be void. Entries that have been tampered with, defaced, altered, falsified, reproduced or illegally obtained will be disqualified. Without restricting the scope of the waiver provided for in Article 5, it is understood that the beneficiaries of the waiver contained in the release form will not be held liable: a) insufficient or inaccurate information provided by users of the contest site or the equipment or programs used in the contest, or any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of entries; b) theft, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries; c) technical problems or difficulties experienced with telephone networks or lines, computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer hardware and software, viruses or bugs; d) the inability of the organizer, for any reason, including Internet and/or website congestion, to receive or send e-mail; e) damage to the entrant's or any other person's computer system or equipment related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in this contest.

8. RIGHT TO CANCEL, SUSPEND OR MODIFY CONTEST RULES

By entering this contest, each entrant agrees to be bound by these contest rules, which are available on the contest Web site throughout the contest period.
The Organizer reserves the right to modify or cancel the contest rules without prior notice, subject to obtaining any necessary approval from the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec. Subject to the foregoing, the Organizer may, at any time, modify or terminate the contest, in whole or in part, if, at its sole discretion, it determines that, for any reason, the contest is not running as planned, notably due to fraudulent manipulation, destruction, loss or theft of entry forms, or any other reason that could compromise the fairness or integrity of the contest.

8. MISCELLANEOUS

By entering or attempting to enter this Contest, each entrant or purported entrant agrees to release, discharge and forever hold harmless the Organizer and its directors, officers, employees, shareholders, agents or other representatives, its parent company and its affiliates from any and all claims, any claim, action, damage, demand, cause of action, suit or liability of any kind whatsoever arising out of or in connection with participation or attempted participation in the contest, compliance or non-compliance with the contest rules, or acceptance and use of the prize.
Entrants who fail to comply with these Official Rules may be excluded from this contest and any future contests or promotions held by the Organizer. All decisions of the Organizer and the contest judging organization are final and without appeal with respect to all aspects of this contest. No prize is transferable. The prize must be accepted as awarded without substitution in cash or otherwise, except at the sole discretion of the Organizer.

The organizer reserves the right to substitute a prize of equivalent value for a prize that cannot be awarded as provided herein. The organizer and the other beneficiaries of the waiver will not be responsible for illegible, incomplete, mutilated, lost, misdirected or late entries, which entries will be null and void. The use of automated systems is prohibited. Only selected entrants will be contacted. No prize will be awarded until the winner has been confirmed. In the event of a dispute as to who validated the online entry, the entry will be deemed to have been validated by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address provided at the time of entry validation. Authorized account holder" means the natural person who has been assigned an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the e-mail address in question. The selected entrant may be required to provide the Organizer with proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the selected entry.
The Organizer reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to exclude from this contest and any future contests or promotions held by the Organizer, any person guilty of or suspected of tampering with the processing of entries or the operation of the contest or the contest site, violating the Official Rules or acting in an unfair or deceptive manner or with intent to annoy, torment, threaten or harass another person.

THE PARTICIPANT OR ANY OTHER PERSON WHO DELIBERATELY ATTEMPTS TO DAMAGE THE FACEBOOK SITE OR THE defi28jours. com OR TO INJURY THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST COMMITS A CRIMINAL OFFENSE AND A TORT, AND THE ORGANIZER RESERVES, IN SUCH CASE, THE RIGHT TO SEEK FROM SUCH PERSON ANY AND ALL DAMAGES WHICH IT IS ENTITLED TO SEEK BY LAW.

9. RÉGIE DES ALCOOLS, DES COURSES ET DES JEUX

The Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec is in no way connected with this contest and cannot be held responsible in any way whatsoever for any matter relating to this contest.
